Isabel Diz Otero received her PhD in Political Science from the University of Santiago de Compostela. She is currently Associate professor at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of that University. She belongs to the research group Rede Armela and has participated in numerous research projects funded by the national and regional research programs. Her research spans across the fields of parliaments, parliamentary elites, women participation and gender public policies. She has several publications in these fields.
She has been the first coordinator of the Gender Equality Office of the USC and is currently Secretary of the Department of Political Science and Sociology.
